Question. What does it mean when the tomatoes and okra flowers fall off easy?

They aren't getting pollinated, or it is too hot.

Alright! I have the fish tank, radial filter, and sump tank all hooked up and pumping water. Now for the delima. The grow beds won't be built for another week or two, and I'm starting to see several types of aquatic bugs swimming around. (darn things are quick) So would it be smart to by some gold fish to eat the bugs? I was thinking of getting a few to put in the fish tank, and a couple in the sump.

The above is from two weeks ago. Testing the pluming before I built the grow bed.

The grow bed is 7'x3'x11.5". It stands 30" and 18" over the sump tank. A little lower than I like but we plan to grow tall plants over the sump.

The plant are looking a little sad right now. I think it's due to the pH is really high right now.

Last nights reading was:
Ammonia 1ppm pH 8.4 nitrite 0 nitrate 0

Did some reading last night and sounds like I have to get the pH down to 7.5. That's also why the water probably has that green tint.

We have the rocks in pots right now until we can get all the rocks to fill the grow beds hope this help with the cycling

The system has been working for a solid week now. Ammonia is up to 5ppm and the pH is down to 7.6. And as expected no sign of nitrite yet. But the plants are doing good. Hoping to have nitrites before bed 2 is operational
