Trying to raise the Hawaiian golds, and not having much luck. They smaller ones, presumably females, are slowly dying off, and the males are not doing much in terms of breeding. Blues and whites have both bred pretty easily, but not these. Any suggestions? Water quality is fine, temps are 83-85 and doing the same as the blues and whites in terms of feed, lighting, and nesting options. I have some inside in 55 gallon aquarium, and some outside in 450 gallon spa. So far, no babies.

Finally seeing some breeding activity. Nesting inside & out. Hopefully, some babies soon.

Thanks DB. The best advice seems to leave them alone. maybe I'll try playing some Barry White.
