Hiya Faye

It will end up in the frying pan or land on the BBQ one day, but for now it's gonna live on in my little pond. Besides we have a whole bunch of trouts and a some flatfish in the freezer from other fishing trips, so I guess this is a better long term storage then freezing them all and risk not getting them eaten within the next few months.

Hi Pleco and thanx for the kind words, it is a nice trout indeed and with a little patience it should grow into a big ass trout. I hope my fish will survive the winter, that is comeing in a few months from now.

So far the trout is doing fine, it's very hard to see it in the deep and pretty dark water. I spoted it today so it's still alive, hopeing it can live on godlfish and turtle pellets as I don't have any trout food and have'nt been able to find anything local. It don't seem like there are anyone who have anything else in there ponds then gold fish, but im gonna call somebody raising trout after the weekend. Hopeing they can tell me where to buy the right food, maybe with a little luck sell me some at whole sale price or something.

Another successful fishing trip - sry short version as my GF's HP laptop just took a crap on me and crashed after I wrote a long and detailed post :upset: (DON'T EVER buy a HP laptop I tell you)

Anyway landed 4 nice trouths, but only one made it home alive as I did'nt have the dehooker with me. My GF's son had it with him out sea fishing, I did'nt notice it was missing from the box with fishing gear.

The dog's aways find it interresting when I bring home fish, no matter if it's for the tanks indoor, the garden pond or for cleaning and cooking :D

Alive I would say it's atleast a kilo

The rest is gonna be eaten, one of the small once are in the refrigiator for dinner tomorrow and the rest are in the freezer with all the other trouths we have been catching this year.

1340 Gram, 745 gram and 740 gram cleaned

I have not seen the first trouth I released into my pond, since the day I released it. I figure as I have'nt found it, floating in the top of the water it's still alive. If it was on the bottom rotting away, the water should smell bad and the gold fish and european perch in the low pond should have died from ammonia spikes. So far all is good in the hood - I guess :D

You can connect two tanks together but you need to account for the fact that the TAN from the first tank is going into the second tank. This is not a problem as long as you realise this and adjust for it.

If you are following the guildeline of turning your tank over once per hour because the tanks are linked you deem then to be one and hence make the flow equal to once per hour for the total volume of the linked tanks. In other words for two IBCs next to each other you would have 1000L/hr going into each one for a total of 2000L/hr. With two IBCs that are linked you would have 2000L/hr going into the first one and then into the second one giving you a total of 2000L/hr.

Make sense?

Oh I should say I wouldn't do this.

Better to have the waste go out to the GBs rather than go through another tank. Probably not much of a problem if your densities are low but I still wouldn't do it.

We cook turtles here but they are snapping turtles you skin the turtle and then boil the meat in salted water/ and let it soak in the salt water for 8 hrs. when it cools peel off the tough membrane. and then fry like chicken different parts taste differently.

Thanks Stuart.
Clearly I prefer robust installation too, but I haven't experiences yet.
That's why I just open a post on it.

I will add our discussion, and if you have idea (problem / solution) many thanks in advance for your experience feedback.
