I think I see the problem here. It's too big a canvas.

Artists tell of being overwhelmed by a large blank canvas and so just dab a bit of paint in one corner to get started. Maybe start with a single blue barrel system...just fer old times sake and then let nature take it's course.

To be honest, seeing all that space sets my mind reeling with the possibilities.

If you never build another system at least you still have all that grass to mow:-)

But anyway.. Congrat's on the move

Biomedia, similar to bioballs but just in rod form welded into blocks. I think they are actually called bioblocks.

I think hemp would boom in AP but only for making fabric of course.

If that's the filter media imagine how big moving bed bio filter will be. You're gonna need a lot of air to move them around the tank Charlie:-)
