Haha. It is being donated from work. It's sitting in the corner of the shed collecting dust.

Thanks Martin. Neither can I.
Am going to smash out some pak choi, bok choi, and that sort of stuff. Hopefully they will grow alright in floating raft.
Still yet to finalise the filtering side. Something to think about.
Pretty sure it will be media filled half barrel to bin with filter pad/cloth to floating raft bed.
The only problem with that is where the media filled half barrel will sit doesn't get as much sun.

All looking good mate. You could always stick a fern or other shady plant in it. Or maybe a climbing plant. It would be a waste not to plant something in it but it isn't really required to make it work as a filter, just put a heap of worms in it.

Thanks Charlie.
I have a dragonfruit plant I am thinking of chucking in there. Will definitely be planted with something.
The point of making a media filled bed as a filter was so I maximise growing space. :)

Bok is whiter stem and taller. Pak is smaller, wider and greener stems. Taste the same but. I have also grown joi choi. All similar. Great stir fry material.

That would be good if you could change it Charlie. Maybe something like "Rob's AP Adventure"

Made the sides up for the new bed. Just need to attach the pond liner. Do I use a staple gun to hold the liner in place?? Pic comes out a lot more yellow than it is for some reason.

Had a brain fade yesterday. Unplugged the pump to stop water flows I I could scoop excess poop out of the tank.. Forgot to plug it back in. Went for about 18 hours without flow.
Ammonia is now 1ppm.
Nitrite 0
Nitrate still really high (about 160)
Ph6.4

I will break a couple of pieces off my dragon fruit plant and chuck them in the AP.

Fish are still alive this morning after the no pump issue :)
Will test the ammonia when I get home and start feeding again if all good.

How do people attach the pond liner to the frame? Staples?
Might run a bead of silastic in the corners to be safe before the liner goes in.
