Love your work Matthew. Lots going on in your backyard and looks really productive for an urban backyard. Couple of questions for you. What do u do with all those chillies? I have a couple of black soldier fly units at my place too. Can you put up some photos of your design? Apologies if they are on here somewhere.

Thanks Bender. I make chilli sauce with the chillies. I'm actually planting 80 Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) plants in September on a friends property as a small chilli sauce business.
I'll post some pics of the BSF Unit design in the next day or 2.

Well, despite the Winter cold, (not that it gets that cold here in southeast QLD) the Tomatoes are going great. I counted 4 or 5 pollinated flowers turning into toms.

The Kale is coming along nicely.

These Cauliflowers are getting some yellowing of the outer leaves, the Silver Perch are only eating every 2 or 3 days so I've just started supplementing the nutrients with Seasol.

Carolina Reaper Pepper.

Iceberg Lettuce.

More.

And more.

The Silvers haven't really grown over Winter.
Looking forward to things heating up come Spring!

Thanks guys. Yeah there hasn't been much pest activity since I got the chickens, the hang out around the AP during the day, I reckon they might be snavelling the bugs up before they get a chance... :dontknow:

I have had the chickens around the AP for about 3 months now. So far so good, nothing's been eaten yet.
