Finally got the 3rd growbed and second sump tank/fingerling tank up and running. Just have to finish off the trim around the top of the tank and bed. I was going to clad it in decking boards like the other ones, but didn't have any left. So i used corrugated iron like the Fish Tank and Sump.

Also have to build the shade structure down the whole side of the house. Going to be using the black irrigation pipe for the curved roof from the house down to the fence and cover with shade cloth.



Planted it with some strawberries, kale, and a new tomato plant.



Now to get some Silver Perch Fingerlings to stock the sump. Anyone want to go halves in an order of Silver Perch fingerlings and live in the Northern Suburbs, Adelaide?

System is going great. Ticking along nicely.

Went down to Tooperang on the weekend to pickup some trout for this years season.

Got 20 small 3" fish @ $1 each, and 20 larger 7" fish @$2.

Should be plenty fish, probably a little overstocked, but we'll see how they go. I'll keep an eye on the testing. Last test showed no Ammonia, Nitrites, and trace Nitrates, but this was before adding 40 fish.

Picked a Zucchini today.

A PB, coming in at 50cm and weighing 2.3kg!



Maxed out our 2kg kitchen scales.


Had to use my fishing scales.


Should feed a few people.

Heh, from my experience with zucchini, that's what you get about two hours after they hit the right size... And each day you'll have twice as many as you had the day before.

i need help on an easy way to clean the glue out i tried a pressure washer (diddent work) then putty knife and scrape it out takes to long your opinion please.

Big veggies like that make great bowls to present other things in.

Dips etc.

Carve them out, fill with whatever, and sit on a nice looking plate of ice, that then sits on whatever you have to dip into it....

ie in this order from the top down...

They should hopefully reach a great size come harvest time. I'm hoping for kilo plus fish this year.

Do you start eating them from that size so you have more space for the big ones to grow out?

Just a quick update.

Everything seems to be ticking along nicely. Water tests good. Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate a bit high 100, pH 6.5

Not much plant growth this time of year, but the trout are doing great. Looks like I may be able to get my hands on some 8" Brown Trout. Many people tried growing them?

The single Bass has grown a bit.
