Group buy Canna clay

I have organised with a local hydroponic shop to supply pallet load of canna clay.
I have secured a price of $28.50 per bag but we must take all 55 bags
What I suggest is that people interested should post in this thread with the number of bags you want
Please think carefully and only post if you are sure you want this and live in a Brisbane area.
I will keep a watch here and as we get to the 55 bags, I will pm every body on the list and organise a meeting, to pay for and collect our bags.
The collection will be from ipswich on a Saturday morning.

Yes I realise it's only a dollar less than his ten bag deal but that still a dollar less than he was offering before.
I haven't found any body cheaper in Brisbane area yet.
If I do I'll post it and we will change to that supplier or see if the original one will do better.

I can't force them to offer better prices and in the current economic situation we are lucky to be getting discounts at all.
If you happen to find cheaper pm me and I'll organise a supplier change and let the original know we are going somewhere else.

If Arbe is talking about the same offer I saw for $27 per bag on a 4+ buy, then the supplier in question is in Brisbane... a particular Aquaponics identity from North McLean who's name can't be uttered hereabouts.

Couldn't find that deal on the site Mr Damage... StiLl $37+ a bag there :/

Isn't that an ex member of this site Whilst setting this deal up I contacted other parties to make sure I was not crossing any lines that may or may not upset them. I promised I would not go through any ex members due to conflict of interest.
Also that price is for members only and he can't supply the amount I/we lwanted to deal with.

A tad touchy there 4x4...

a). My apologies up front... I wrongfully assumed that you were just trying to get a better price for all Brisbane members that were interested in purchasing clay.

b). I wasn't the one that raised the fact there were $27 bags available... just the fact they were in Brisbane... as you appeared to be under the assumption they were in WA because the person that did raise it is from WA.

c). I can't see how pointing out deals for clay in Brisbane affects any retailers here in WA... unless forum members from here in WA are prepared to pay about $450 for freight on a pallet from Brisbane.

d). If you've already checked with the "Powers that be" and they didn’t have a problem with you buying the clay from a retailer in Brisbane and promoting a group buy on this forum... then where is the problem in pointing out a better Brisbane based buying opportunity for those in the group buy?

e). According to the info provided, he can supply the quantity you are after.

f). What makes you think you have the exclusive right to offer a group purchase deal and not expect other members to highlight the fact that if you looked around you may be able to get better prices for those wanting to take part in the group buy?

g). It’s hardly a thread highjack!... especially as I was only providing supplementary information in response to a post from a member that couldn’t find the offer in question... an offer that had already been brought up by another member. Unless of course you didn’t want anyone that was thinking of taking up your group buy offer to know they could purchase bags elsewhere for less.

h). When I realised what you are probably doing I removed the link... for your benefit... BEFORE you had your hissy fit... so I don't appreciate your response either.

i). And yes, the offer in question was for his forum members and those on his email list, but any member of the public can view his forum, and I’m sure if you rang and asked for the deal you’d more than likely get it. So he’s looking after his members, previous customers and subscribers, where’s the issue in that?... especially considering many forum members from here are also members on that forum. It’s not that dissimilar to what you are doing offering a group buy to members from this forum. As long as it doesn’t affect the business of the “Powers that be”, which according to you they’ve said it doesn’t, then why does it matter where you actually get the clay from?... as long as the BYAP forum members from SEQ get the best deal right!

j). You are correct on two more counts... I am from WA... and I'm not interested in buying any clay... but I will gladly sell you some... if you want to pay the freight to SEQ.

k). Personally, I don’t care what you think, what price you pay, or who you get the clay from.

For f sake. The bloke (4x4) has organised a deal. This thread is the means by which he's collecting the pledges of interested parties. If people are interested in taking up the offer please say so here, if not, great. Can we keep this thread to that scope? Not saying anyone has done anything they shouldn't have, just think things get off the rails pretty easily and that's a poor reward for 4x4's efforts.
