Cut your holes the correct size first go for your desired pots. I had holes pre cut from a previous project and the cups don't fit - so I can't use a hole saw as there is nothing to stabalize the drill bit in the middle. Will have to jigsaw them or something.

Do what blind freddie did with his elbow outlet - make sure its nice and big (as well as the outlet pipe). And you can turn and adjust the level with it. I used 13mm as I had a bulkhead fitting at that size and its too small (I have to get the in-flow just right).

Have a tap on the inlet to adjust flow.

Use 100mm + pipe

Sump water isn't necessarily going to be totally clean - I'm getting solids build up.

Nest a hole saw the same size as the hole inside a hole saw the size you want to drill. The inner hole saw will act as a pilot bit for the larger hole saw.

That is one of two techniques that boat maintenance workers use to enlarge thruhulls on boats. The other is to pound in a damage control plug and use that to guide the pilot bit. You would go through a lot of DC plugs trying to do that on an NFT pipe...
