In Southeast louisiana, talapia are a strickly controlled fish so they are out. I would like to raise Crappie, but I don't where to purchase the fingerlings for my system. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thanks, Gil

Also would it be a good idea to capture swamp bluegills to raise in an aquponic system?

If you're up for the ride, check out http://stockapond.com, they are near Lafayette, LA, and have Crappie.
