Hi everyone! :wave1: We're eXtreme Aquaponics, located in a little surf town called Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. We've been up and running for about a year now and are doing our best to overcome all the hurdles of establishing an Aquaponics system in a third world environment. We'll be posting videos on YouTube that will show our progression along the way and we are completely open to any critiques of our system and methods. We are happy to be here on Backyard Aquaponics and look forward to learning from everyone on the forum.

Not wanting to be rude or to put you off but...

Really?

Our experience has often been that many people are not open to learn and don't like constructive criticism of their commercial attempts.

Having said that if you are we will be happy to help :D Also if you are really serious and open then there is a good chance that you have already learnt a thing or two you could teach us since people who are open and willing to learn make good students and hence good teachers.

You can't tease us about a commercial system, and not show us any pictures!

Welcome to the forum.

What sort of system are you using? UVI?

I stand chastised.

I saw Dominican Republic and jumped to an unfair conclusion

My apologies.

We have 3 system. We tried the IBCs with a variety of different grow beds and tried to use all local products, We then went to a cement rectangular tank and coated it with rubber.

We have three systems so far containing mostly tilapia. We have in the process of developing a commercial system that we begin building in 3 weeks! I am new to this so I am just hoping to see how more experienced people run their systems.
