Well..... I HAVE TROUT!!
How great are they? I picked up 25 trout from Troutman yesterday morning and they are so much more active than the silver perch in the tank with them. Feeding is going to be fun now. Actually throwing pellets ion and getting to watch the fish smash the surface to get the food is awesome.
Even after only being in the tank a couple of hours, they had a feed.

The silvers have stopped eating lately. Hopefully with the trout in there now, I will start to see some better growth.
I have harvested a couple of nice broccoli lately and have some cauli starting to produce heads.
Peas seem to have grown to about 10cm and stopped.
Chucked a couple garlic, strawberries brussel sprouts and a heap of various seeds (lettuce, kale, beetroot, pak choi, leek, red cabbage)
Fingers crossed for no casualties and awesome growth.

Tests before the trout went in were
Amm- 0
Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- 0
PH- 7.6

Will test every day for a while now the trout are in to keep an eye on things

Thanks Rod.

There are no more broccoli in there any more. All eaten. I am going to get some broccolini seedlings to chuck in.
The cauliflowers were taking up so much room, I have been breaking off the bottom leaves to allow light to the other plants. Wasn't sure if this would do any harm but they seem to be doing great. Producing nice heads now.
Peas have kicked into gear with the trout eating plenty.
I will be interested to see how the brussel sprouts go. I have a couple in there and have never grown them before :)
I might take a pic this afternoon if weather is kind to me and chuck one up.
I want to expand the system a bit so will be asking for peoples advise when I measure and see how much room I have to play with.

Here is a photo from last night. The peas seem to be growing nicely now. Might plant more seeds as we love peas here. These ones are the greenfeast variety.
The broccoli stem in the corner is gone now and will be planting broccolini there in the next week. A few more chinese veges will go in (bok, pak, joi choi) to fill holes.

So I have upped the feed the last couple days and maybe I went a little too far.
Water tests are
Ammonia- 1
Nitrite- 0.25
Nitrate- about 60

Had a good scoop around the tank for any poo/food. Got a fair bit out.

Light feed tomorrow and none Sunday will hopefully sort this out.
I'm off to the shop to get a few more seedlings tomorrow to chuck in.

I have some yellowing on my cauliflower and Brussels

Should I add anything or is this fine?
Also have to spray dipel this weekend. A few lil critters in there.
