Thanks dasboot and Mr Damage. I will see if I can find Potassium Sulphate and add it to my sump, I will also do a 30% water change to see if I can get the salinity to go down.

Cheers

hi all

i made potassium carbonate by burning banana peels and put the ash in bottle with water ( PH IS 11) , will it help the plants to get it if i spray that liquid on the leaves.?

Are you sure it was K2CO3? I would have thought that Caustic Potash, KOH, was more likely.
