We showed the local guys how to bend a pipe the easy and cheap way and….they have a taste for it now! All this at temps of around 42 degrees C.

What amazes me is the hotter it gets the more clothes they wear,42c and a jacket hat or balaclava cloves at least one or two shirts long trousers sometimes socks and trainers,my wife has a fundamental fear of the sun, inside the house shorts T shirt,we go out its skinny jeans one or two tops and maybe a small jacket...

Actually more cloths will protect you from the sun's UV and the heat. Tuaregs in the dessert use the same technique for protection. If I go mowing the grass here, it's long trousers, boots with socks, t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, jungle hat, safety glasses, thin welding gloves all topped with a large straw hat of which I wrapped the top in aluminium foil to reflect the sun. It looks hot, but that way I can last almost the whole day. Tried it once in shorts and t-shirt only, took about 2 hours to get a super nice tan and 2 days and lots of aloe vera to recover.

DB- very cool pipe building. Since you have so many tubes to bend, would it be easier to make a jig out of wood?
I've seen some hoop houses over here, and that's what they did.

The bigger red pipe IS the jig, Coachchris.

Why do you give that secret away, Andy? Now they gonna develop a solution for aluminum wrapped straw hats or send a drone! :laughing3:

The great thing about aluminum foil is that they can't develop a solution to it. Nostradamus told me so.

Thanks for the thumbs up, Scotty. But….the only thing I did there was filling in some parameters and info, the rest is all the work and service of SMA, the provider of the inverters. Good service though! :)

Thinking about something more like this. Seems easier if you can mount the jig??

The plain fact that a Thai can use it, is the ultimate proof of simplicity and absolute easy to use. I can hardly imagine more dumb, stubborn and lazy people. Try to build something here with them and you will wholeheartedly agree with me.

I've always found Asians to be intelligent, hard working, and industrious. At least the ones that come here...maybe that's why. If it works, don't fix it.lol
