Hi everyone,

I am investigating and slowly getting supplies for my first aquaponics set up.

I live in New Zealand - Rotorua for those of you kiwis, and was wondering if there is an edible bred of fish available here?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Cheers Andy

I would have thought rainbow trout were readily available in NZ and the temps would be perfect for them

There's plenty of koura in the lakes there, I'm in auckland and wouldn't mind trying them. Im using goldfish now because I think it gets too hot for them in summer here...I might stick one in the sump and see if it survives
