Pollination is pretty easy if you just flick the flower stem also.
Don't forget that flowers need a bit of potash and the right temperatures.

The important thing with peppers is to pinch off the early blossoms to encourage vegetive growth. Once the plant is of respectable size, then let it fruit.

Looky what was hiding in plain sight.............
At least I can say that I have grown some tomatoes in my first ever AP system, even if they wilt and fall off tomorrow.
My Nitrates are still very high even with 16 Tom plants, 8 double cucumber plants, lettuce, and various peppers and basil.

Almost had a catastrophic failure last night and did an unexpected 40% water change (actually a 40% top off) yesterday due to a leak in one of my supply lines to the FT. About pumped my sump dry. Maybe this will bring the Nitrates down some. Will check today.

Yeah it is a good video.
Your 'proof of concept' for easy clean radial flow filter - have you trialed that yet? did you make a modification?

My RFF design works really really good. The way I have it setup with a bottom drain in the black outer tank makes easy to empty into the adjacent sump tank with my small fish net as a fine solids filter when draining for further filtration. The water coming from the RFF to the ST is really clean and the plants and fish seem to be doing really well with the filtration.

The only modification I made was adding a second "downflow deflecting" ring around the outside of the 5 gal bucket. Made it out of a planter water catcher ring (the little plate thing you put under a potted houseplant). Works good at deflecting fines downward towards the bottom of the big tank.

As soon as I have an extra video camera hand (my wife), I will do a quick video on my RFF operating and how I clean it........boy, what an interesting video that will be to watch....... Only takes me about 5 minutes to clean the whole thing with dumping the first stage bucket and draining the second stage tank.

Yes, the FT has a small tarp over it, as does the ST also to keep the sunlight off of it.

Interested also, still might give that a try in mine. Probably just have to order one more bulk head to my order to get close to what you have.

The bulkhead in the bottom of the outer tank of the RFF is a 1-1/2" female thread/slip. The upright pipe in my RFF has a threaded 1-1/2" male fitting on the bottom that feeds thru a hole in the bottom of the 5 gal bucket and screws into the bulkhead. To dump the solids, I unscrew the upright pipe and lift the 5 gal. bucket out while keeping the pipe in the bottom to prevent the water from coming out the hole.

Gotta get that video done. I can't explain what I need to explain the only way I know how to explain it. Clear as mud, right?
