Hi everyone,

I decided to scrap the New NFT System and get more bang for my buck by upgrading my IBC System instead.
If all goes well I'll start building the upgrade this weekend.

Here is the design I put together on paint.net.

I'll take photos of the progress and post them as I go!

Really neat setup. Will be interesting to follow the progress.

The only think I can see I would change would be the flow from the FT to RFF and Biofilter.
In your diagram it looks like both your RFF and Biofilter are being fed from your FT.
I would go FT > RFF > Biofilter > Growbeds > ST.

That's just my opinion.

Be sure and add an overflow somewhere in your FT to the ST.

Thanks mate,

Yea the RFF goes from the FT to the GB, and the BioFilter goes to the ST, this setup is what I already currently have.

Not the most ideal way but I only recently added the BioFilter as an after thought.... Not a great deal of thought went into it [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

The FT outlet to the BioFilter skims water from the top FT as apposed to the RFF from the bottom.

So the biofilter acts like a biofilter/overflow combo. Cool.

I wonder how efficient the biofilter is just with skimming the surface water? Not knocking it, but it's the first time I've seen this design sequence.

Correct.

It seems to being working great, it has already built up a fair amount of biomass in it and has only been in for about 2 weeks.

That's just about the first time I've seen the finished system look just like the plan. Nice job.
