I think it's quite a cool idea. Would like to see it implemented. :D

Lol. Thanks Charlie.
I was surprised when BYAP notified me I am almost divorced. Took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on then I had a chuckle.

Hit the three figures. Next..... we take over the world! :D

hmm - didn't think of that.

I was thinking more that the raft would sit on those little edges and stay at a fixed height.
Then have the siphon holes up higher than the bottom (about half way up) so it wouldn't drain completely and keep the longest roots touching water.

Main reason would be to create a nice stream into the fish tank for aeration

I think that is a good ideal, with the air in there the bubbles popping will keep everything moist anyway,i reckon the roots should be ok with just this small drop.

I agree with Andy. If the raft stays stationary and there is bubbling underneath it should work well. I would like to see someone try a raft that drops with the water level but over the long term I think there would be problems with it like it getting stuck or wear and tear causing problems.

Regards, Martin.

Hey Jay,

Nope. :D
Been working on emigrating so didn't want to set up something that I would leave behind.

I reckon I may have set a record - over 1000 posts without a system! :dontknow:

Have received and accepted a good offer in Auckland, New Zealand this week so will be heading off to the Land of the Long White Cloud within the next 2-3 months!

Regards, Martin.

Thanks BF. We're very excited but it is also a little daunting move so far with three young children in tow. It's a good place though so we're chuffed.
I am worried though, if I get too close to the centre of the universe will I be caught in the gravitational field? :D

Regards, Martin.

Lol. I will avoid the prawn heads if I can. Are they some kind of local delicacy there?
