I find that comment slightly disturbing as cakes are baked not cooked. :D

No, these were cooked.

Actually it came out nice and moist. I have however been told that I am a decoration nazi. Lines were all straight, and decorations were symetrically placed.

Nothing like a bit of moist cake although decoration can be important.

Should have taken some photos.

Just ate 3 of the best tasting tomatoes I have eaten in a long time. I thought they were going to be mushy now that we don't have the warm days to ripen the fruit nice and quickly. The flesh was a real deep red, very strong flavour, quite acidic, but great on the burgers with my cucumbers and lettuce.

+1 for heirlooms. Don't know why, but my best toms always seem to come out in Autumn.

I started drooling when I cut them up. Could smell them as soon as I put a knife to them. Tomatoes that was!

They were so nice, even the dog ate one that I dropped. Better watch out that she doesn't go them on the bush!

Careful, soon your dog will be a herbivore.

What species of tommie where they, Bee? I fell in love with heirloom tomato's after I grew some massive 'mortgage lifter' varieties, one slice covered a whole piece of toast. Bit of salt and pepper and I was in heaven. Green Zebra would have to be my next best favourite as it has quite a punch.

I hope the tag is in the bush. Will let you know tomorrow. Not big fruit, not regular in shape, but bloody nice to eat. They would be perfect on some fresh bread with a bit of S&P. I remember doing that as a young fella when on holidays. Walking down to the local baker, picking up a fresh loaf and putrting on either a slice of Tom or butter and vegemite.

Tried the green capsicum, and the yellow thing. Fark they were bitter.

But now I see the yellow thing is turning red. Might be a chilli?

Lol. Do you just randomly eat things even when you don't know what they are?

Nothing like living on the edge Martin.

Not too random. They all came fromt he same punnet. Just not experienced in knowing when things are ripe.

Tomies are easy. They go red, unless they are not a variety that go red. Peas and beans they are okay when they are green.

How they don't come with a label that says now I am ready?

Has anyone on this forum ever seen a really successful capsicum? mine were kind of small and bitter too... not that I have had much luck in the dirt garden with them either... they are quite susceptible to pests too i think, usually sprayed heavily in a commercial situation
