A mate at work has given me a couple of IBC's that he was using to cart water to his bush block while his house was being built. I hope to pick them up in a couple of weeks when I get around to borrowing a ute (for non Aussies that's a light pickup truck). Then after I clear the space in the yard I'll do an expansion on the system. Thinking CHIFT-PIST this time. Maybe 2 fish tanks (whole IBC's), a large sump, and 3-4 grow beds. I'm pretty excited at the prospect. :)

Hi all,

Until the last couple of weeks it's been a quite mild winter in Brisbane (which doesn't have very cold winters anyway). This caused the Chilli to produce a nice little crop. I bagged some up and gave them away at work where they are quite popular.

The lettuce is going gangbusters.

Some tomato plants self-seeded a while ago. Today I peeked inside the grow-bag I put on to protect the fruit that has started, and it is coming along nicely.

You're lucky you can get tomatoes growing well all through winter there!

Looking good.
