By my calculations at 1 fish per 25 litres wet media about 75 fish comfortably.

Today I put 30 fingerlings in my little sump tank. Made a shadecloth lid that sits under the growbed.
Put a Vent Cal in which works much better than a 40mm cap with drilled holes.

The cover I've made - just fits in and then I've put some planks at the front for coverage
Image

I put a loop siphon SLO in the 2nd sump that makes the water ebb and flow - drilled very small holes down a bit in the length of pipe so it cuts the siphon off about 15cm down - this will be my azolla tank.

I'm going to run the NFT tubes across the tank and then across the fence line

Finally pulled all the tomatoes out - even though they were starting to regrow mega healthy again.

And finally glued all the fittings
Also question about water height - I've got a big enough pump to push water to this inlet and also up higher - but I only tried with 40mm pipe. As you can see at the end of this there is a black hose - the water doesn't want to push up the 13mm irrigation pipe to a higher height than the white inlets on this pic.
I think you have to use similar diameter to get better flow height?

Hey Jay, increasing pipe size on that riser will do nothing. You will need to restrict the flow at the lower outlets to get the higher head height.

Yeah, helps to think of it in terms of water taking the path of least resistance. It won't want to flow uphill if it's got an easy outlet to flow through.

Well I increased to 20mm and it made a slight difference.

Also added 20mm taps - thanks.

Made some modifications to the SLO's - this is something I found at the irrigation shop.
