It looks like neem oil. You need to be careful with it, as the oil can be bad for fish.

Not been able to add any fish yet, as my Nitrites are still too high. 10ppm
Was thinking of making up some garlic spray, but there seem to be many different ratios suggested when I googled it. Some say one clove crushed to one pint of water, while others say as much as Two bulbs to one pint of water.
Have any of you made garlic spray, and if so what did you do?

I made a garlic pepper spray, I think that it might have been more useful as a soup base... I much prefer to attract beneficial insects.

Agree re the beneficial insects. I planted fennel, hoping to attract lady bugs and lacewings, but haven't seen any yet and I don't want to lose my eggplant, lettuce and tomatoes to the mites and leaf miners.

I am using a Thai version of Neem oil,i bought in a health/organic type shop,it is neem mixed with other plant extracts, early days but when i checked the egg plants yesterday evening i maybe spotted one or two mites so it could be working, i will update as i need to spray again after a week.
Re the Garlic sprays i never found they were over successful,i was constantly having to reapply,a hose did the same job...
