Headed out tonight with some live bait in hunt of some Mulloway.

Scored a little beauty. Measured in at 70cm.

Good stuff, Sam. There is no beating live bait for predators like Mulloway, or so I have heard since this species has managed to elude me.

I caught this Mulloway in the Cambridge gulf in 2010. Was after sunset so photo not that great. Took quite an effort to land the fish. Cant recall the exact length but was ~125cm.

Jewfish and Mulloway are actually different fish.
Jewies have a convex tail fin and Mulloway (and Teragin?) have a concave trailing edge on their tail fin.
Very similar otherwise though. Black Jew up north might be another species too? Or subspecies maybe but they do get thumping big up north.
