The tomatoes are still growing with green tips. But most have a crinkly brown leaves at the bottom. I think at the height of the season they didn't have enough nutrients russet mite on some or some wilt.

But it seems tomatoes make a come back at the end of the season. I've tried tomatoes on a north wall with 'broad ripple yellow current' lasting through the winter.

Today I drilled holes in the sump sleeper wall for inlet outlet 40mm to new area.
Fitted two IBC sumps with uniseal bridge connection - and SLO in fingerling side.
Tried t cut Metal bottom pallet for standpipe - but tried to use a jigsaw with hacksaw blade and failed... Grinder next time.
Got some more fittings for elbows etc.

Do you think a little bit of stubborn latex stuck on the sides of the IBC's will matter?

yeah - another day of scrubbing.

I've checked both my systems and they are sitting at 6.0 or below on the P.H. - I think this is why I haven't had much success with some varieties.

Added 30ml of Hydrated Lime
Added Seasol
Added Shell bag grit to sumps.

Lets see what happens.

I put my eggshells in a "netcup" made from a yogurt cup. I crushed them up a little.

under moving water?
How many>?
do you clean the eggshells first?
I'm guessing I'll need more than shell grit as my PH seems to swing back to acid very quickly.

As many would fit, I rinsed them first (though people often use raw egg whites as a flocculant), and I put it in a part of the bed with good water flow.

Painted, plumbed and running water currently through the two new beds and sumps.
Photo's tomorrow.
I put the outlet a little high so I'm running a loop elbow siphon.

Some updates:
I used scoria and filled and siphoned 3 times and the water was relatively clean.

Finally finished the Sump tank lid for a seat - got some rain forest timber from a pallet outside bunnings.
Need to plane down a piece that was warped to stick in the gap.

This is going to be for fingerlings

Water level is a bit high so I have to drop the outlet down another 40mm -
Do you think Azolea will grow in here
