Well the system is up and running with my wife n son looking after it during the week as I'm only home on the weekend.

I've got 20 feeder fish and 4 red claw in the FT to help it cycle. The test kit is in the mail so I'll be able to see how the water is going this weekend hopefully

My wife went a bit berserk with the planting so I've got seasol in the water to help them along. The GB takes about 7 min to fill and the syphon starts in 20 sec and shuts off in 10.

The FT holds about 750 L and the pump is 2800L/h to allow for expansion.

Well after running for 2 weeks with 20 feeder fish and 4 redclaw my water reads;
PH 7.5
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0

So I've gone and bought 8 goldfish to help it along.

Good looking system.
Your chemistry looks like there is room for more fish.

Thanks guys. Another week and I'll be ready for some perch.

Thanks also to Kitacooch for the time he spent showing me his system and also giving me a bucket of his water to help me cycle.

Another question. The pump I bought has a filter material in the intake. Should I remove that or leave it in?
