Have you salted your system to 1 part per thousand? Your nitrites are quite high. If not I would put in 1 kg of pool salt to protect your fish from nitrite poisoning.

Its fine to top up your tank straight from the hose if its only in small amounts. For large amounts let it sit overnight or use rainwater.

No I have not put any salt in Ben I'm just doing what people tell me to do on this forum,so if it will be good for the fishes health then I will get some tomorrow. Was that 1kg for 1000 litres, or 3kg?

You aren't at threat level dark purple, so 1 kg per for 1000 liters should be okay.

Yea, your just about there. I would say you are close enough that a SMALL feeding would be okay. In other words, just a very small amount of feed, and scoop out whatever is not eaten right away.

Yea, I don't use timers, so I really did not think I would have a good answer to that one.

I would leave the pump on full time until you're fully cycled. Not to far away now. Going well

Yippee,I believe I've cycled ph 7.4 ammonia 0 nitrite0,nitrate0.
And fingers crossed, all 20 trout are still alive.so what's next slowly build feed rate up,and go back to 15/45?i would appreciate for some feed back
Ps I keep a diary to keep track of everything I do and it was 22 days to cycle,
Thanks so much for everyone's support, this forum blows me away,I'm learning new things every day.

Yes, slowly ramp up the feed, and keep checking those parameters. It looks like your cycle process has been pretty smooth. Again, with the pump, I will defer to someone who users timed f&d on that one.

Have you got bell siphons? or standpipes with holes?
15/45 works great
