having never grown Swiss chard before, and only seeing it in the local super market, this one seems quite large. I have to start harvesting because they are shading out my other plants in DWC.

Yea, that looks about right. I have two chard plants fought now, and they give my family more than enough chard. Yet for come reason I planted more chard seeds... Once you have a taste for it, you want a lot of it.

So far, I've only used it in salads and as a Asian wrap. Going to try some cooked this week.

i like it in salads raw, or used as a substitute for cooked spinach.... in soups and such

I've heard it can be used for Dolmas but haven't tried this yet.

Lots of other ways to cook them as well. Save the stems, they can be substituted for Celery in tuna salad and other things.
