Nice system Leon,
I'm curious about how badly your fish tank froze last winter. Mine was mostly ice but the goldfish survived.

Froze near solid, even the waterfall, but pump kept working under the ice.. If I have some pictures, I'll post them.

I am continually losing and replacing gold fish to coons, cats, etc.....but they seem to survive the ice.....

I have 3 large ponds that I'm planning to catch some perch and large mouth bass and put in FT.

Waterfall is a bit hard to see, but the pipe going to the tub (right) is split to adjust water flow into grow tank

by returning most of it back to fish tank.....(The hose on far right is to the waterfall...)

The pipe on far left is the flush line that goes back into the fish tank.....Very simple, but practical, I think.

Come wintertime, I guess I'll have to lift the pump out of the water.....and that will

be about all the prep I'll need....Waterfall pump runs all year long....Been going for

three years now....

I had to replace 2 dozen gold fish (carp) today....Coons wiped me out I guess..That is going to be a problem

until I put up an electric fence around satellite dish....

I spread out the pepper and tomato plants also...As they grow some more and I get the soil beds ready,

I'll transplant some to those....

Don't let cormorants ever find your fish. This is what about 30 birds did at my golf course one day. They were eating machines and when they were full they killed fish for the fun of it. There were at least 500 floating around the lake plus the ones they actually ate.

They are murderous all right....That is a wild picture....Thanks RayRay....

My house is about 150 yards from the barns where I have the fish dish (FT)

and I'm sure the coons are my culprits, also have a small pond nearby that attracts

the large white herons or cranes, whatever you want to call the long-legged creatures.

But I think they're satisfied to walk the shallows and take fish from the pond rather

than get under a sheltered satellite dish pool.....However, anything's possible.

Leon

Here is my woman of 52 years planting her 3rd crop of radishes along with mustard and lettuce in one

of the elevated soil bed containers.
