I am switching from half barrels to IBC, woo hoo! ok so i dont want to make a standpipe out of the original lid/cap because it will be in the middle of the tote and hard to reach to clean, work on etc. id like to put it in the corner where its east access, that being said, what do i use as a male/female to go thru the IBC and be sealed? meaning the standpipe base

Rob that is to hold the media guard and it allows you too be able to rotate it and sever any roots growing down into the media guard.

It's a 90mm un-threaded end cap.

Are you referring to the standpipe diameter?... If so, is this a timed F&D system, or a siphoned F&D system?

If siphoned I definitely wouldn't go any larger than 1" for a siphon standpipe in an IBC grow bed.

Is going to be Timed F&D, ie: where the pump runs 15on/45off etc, and the water drains from the bed during the off cycle through two small holes drilled near the base of the standpipe?...

...or is it going to be Siphoned F&D where the pump runs 24/7 and the GB drains via a bell siphon?
