Hi mate, make sure your ft water level is at least 12" above the water level in the gb's and it looks fine.

Just a thought, you may want to put the radial flow filter on the side of the fish tank so your buried pipe doesn't become a settling point leading to the grow beds. Other than that, I think you're good to go.

I have no problem raising the fish tank or lowering the grow bed. If I raise the fish tank and move it under my bedroom window I can feed them from inside.

As for the radial flow filter. I was not wanting a lot of solids in the pipes, but you are right on me having it on the wrong end. I was thinking dual SLO to the RFF then out to grow beds. Length of pipe below ground is maybe 10-15ft not shown to well in the other drawing.

I do have a old utility pump that I am thinking of using for this system. I was messing with it trying to aerate the water with the simple green thinking it might help beak down the slime and the hose fell out. Drained the tote in about 10 minutes. It might be a bit powerful not sure of brand, but this was left on label 120ac 2.2A 1350GPH max head 23 FT. I remember using this to suck mud out of a hole a few years ago.

I'm looking at $64 for bulkhead fittings with shipping. I looked at uniseals, but like the strength of the bulkhead fittings

(4) 2" slip/thread
(4) 1" slip/thread
(2) 1" thread/thread

I also recorded the outside build area. Sorny Vegas is giving me issues again. Either it takes forever to render and I get a crappy quality or it goes quickly and crashes in the render and I get a few seconds of nice quality video.

It looks like you have two sumps, unless it is a volume thing, you only need one. Btw, I have been happy with the strength of my uniseals.

Gives me room to expand as it is a good central place to dump to under the grow beds. Also having the other sump gives me another place to dump to for something else (Dutch bucket or strawberry tower) and to have the pump a little closer to my fish tank.

It's hard to words the ideas I have going into this build.

I kept on getting sidetracked in the video because I thought I was going to sneeze.

This project might be delayed by just a bit. I ended up buying a new gun so money is a bit gone now, but will start cutting the other tote tomorrow for the grow beds and help figure out where exactly this will go.

Also how easy is it to fix the IBC tote "pallet"? Both of my bases are a bit crushed or bent and would like it where at least fixing one for use of the fish tank so that it will not give out on a concrete pad. Does it even need a base or would the pad work fine with the cage still around the tote?

IBC directly on the pad is fine.

I cut the tote last night in the rain, but it started to rain a bit harder and called it a night before I tried laying things out. I have two growbeds now.

Parents will be in town on Wednesday to see if they can give a hand before the weekend.

I am happily using uniseals on my IBCs as well. So much cheaper than bulkheads, and just as good (imo).

Where did you get your uniseals from? I see a few places that I might be able to use those instead. mainly from SLO to RFF.

Cutting the growbeds this way gives me almost 105G or 400L per growbed

I also picked up a 55 gallon open top drum today. Now to see where I can dig because there is a old septic tank in that area also....
