Hi Nasrin,

Any idea what your water temperature is? Melon plants like a lot of heat and the water might be cool enough they've slowed down. You might move one and leave the other or just give them a bit more time for now - either would be fine. It's easier to keep them watered in an AP system but soil in a planter would warm up faster.

Cheers

I'd definitely leave them in the AP, sounds like they're just not far enough along but are close, you need some additional flowers. The first flowers are usually male and can't form melons. Female flowers which are the only ones that can form melons will have a swelling at the base. If you have both male and female flowers you can do your own pollinating but insects will usually do it for you. Here's a website with instructions and more information.

No idea why that cracked Nasrin :dontknow: - I looked online and too much water, too much Nitrogen and temperature going from really cool to really warm during the day came up. Usually a dry period followed by rain is when too much water causes problems. I'm not sure how this would affect plants in AP. I'd just wait it out and see how the next ones do.

I wonder if that celery will keep coming back from seed in your AP system. It wouldn't surprise me. Parsley does that here.

Cheers
