Hi Bodgy, a couple of things,

All cod I catch get photographed, usually on the brag matt and released ASAP. Forgot the brag matt that day so used the rod and reel for a bit of scale. I have a good supply of eating fish in the back yard so I'm happy to catch and release all fish caught in our local rivers.

Gwen from Sunland was great to deal with, I have bought silvers of her in the past, the fish were fine and the price was good. I for one would like to buy from here again if you don't mind PM me her new contact details,

I didn't mean you Freddie! Was talking about the lad on the riverbank in the pic I posted.
For some reason I'm normally slightly suspicious of lads from Gympie... :dontknow:
And it's great to hear Gwen is up and running again, was a pretty terrible situation for her. And being no fault of her own makes it even worse.

edit - ps She is using her old mobile number which I found online, I'll send you a message with it.

Too easy Bear, I actually found her mobile number from the same daff webpage you posted in another thread. (The list of licensed hatcheries).
I'll pm you the number anyway.
I reckon any local support we can send her way is worth it. :)

They are related to the Murray cod (Maccullochella family), if they are native to the area you live, then they should happily live year round without too many issues.

Just hope they aren't as shy as my Murray cod, the only time I see my 50 of them is when I sneak up to the tank with a torch at night.

Let us know how they go.

Sticking a torch in a fish tank at night is probably a good way to make them shy, or dead from shock at worst
Just my thoughts

I didn't think it'd bug them, but I see your point. I just wanted to check they were still there, I will leave the little guys (and girls) alone. :)

Once it is dark my Murray Cod just spread out all around the bottom of the tank. Shining a bright torch in there doesn't phase them, most don't even move at all.
