Yeah I hope so, we had about 8 or 9, my DW doesn't count as she's heard it all before.

At least they know what it is, and I hope how to evaluate different setups too.

Rob's video was helpful because I talked about media beds and DWC and his is a hybrid. Also talked about flood and drain and pumps and I was able to note to them that he said those things in the video too.

Had to recommend against having chickens pooping directly into the fish water ala the garden pool setup.

Anyone who wants the Powerpoint as a PDF just PM me with your email address. I can't upload the PDF here because PDF is not allowed.

Here are the movies we watched as part of the presentation:

So the seed starter device isn't working as I wanted because the quilt batting is not wicking very well at all. But, tonight I went out there and there are some seeds that have sprouted! Might be broccoli, not sure.

I will try different materials like maybe slipping a paper towel and/or terry cloth material in there to see if that helps. I have other experiments to try as eel, looks like this weekend could be a good one for that.

They are still in there but so small that I think I could add a bunch more. The RFF is working because their uneaten food is at the bottom of that. They are still working on the algae and crud so they don't need to be fed much right now.

I purchased some cap mat online. The smallest amount amazon sold I wish one side was black, but it still works for me. It has no problem pulling water 3 feet. The problem is that any movement can break the water bridge. So it is still important to watch it, and water from the top whenever any cells look dry.

Got a picture for you skeggley, the fish are too tiny to see above the algae in the bottom of the FT.
