Thanks guys. Yeah I am finding myself spending way too much time out there. Its still pretty cold here still and so nothing is awake yet. Its nice having a little piece of spring there.

I just stocked blue talapia as they can withstand some cooler temps. I thought about rainbow trout but I don't like the taste as much. I don't hate the taste so I may stock some still. They have the added benefit of being really beautiful. Anyone have any experience stocking trout and blues together?

Yeah the swirl filter was kind of a after thought but I like it there now. I am needing to add another swirl or radial flow filter for the media beds too. All in good time I guess...

ccBear here is a few shots of the SF.

I am only filtering the water into the float beds currently. I have worms in my media beds but may end up adding a RFF to those too just to be safe.

Please see the second pic. Do you know the correct angle for these inlets? I'm guessing angled slightly down but not sure.

Amazing system. That grow bed looks huge, how long to fill and siphon it? What are the black barrels in the back for? Cheers buddy.

Thanks! Floods in about 20min and drains in about 5. The barrels are thermal mass for heat. During the day the water heats up and then when the temp drops at night the barrels radiate that heat back to the greenhouse. I live in WA state so it gets really cold here.

Raised a total of 250 lbs of chicken, 100 lbs of rabbit, 25 lbs of quail and about 1000 eggs, 150 lbs potatoes, 120 lbs of onions and countless other veggies on my 1/4 acre this summer. It's been fun to see what can be done with such a small amount of land.

Thanks guys! Yeah its my little paradise. I forgot how much I love the greenhouse and the aquaponics until the temp started to drop here. I plated 24 tomato clones in there yesterday. Should be interesting to see if I can get them through the winter.
