Thanks Ryan,

the guys at shoestring believe in empowering their attendees with DIY skills so they too can become more sustainable, eco friendly, green, and any other 'it' word you can think of...lol

Love it!

You guys do great work. It was actually your dads system that changed my sisters mind about AP being 'ugly', to the point now one of the main requirements for her buying land and building a house is where her AP setup will go. ;)

Can't wait to see the finished product. Kudos for taking the time to run the workshops!

Thanks mate, one thing i noticed when i started was a lot of systems looked rather industrial and we knew that we would have to make it nice to mum to warm to the idea of something other than a series of raised dirt gardens.

We have had a lot of fun with the workshops and have received some great feedback

Cheers, we have met some great people and the next workshop is part of a family day so there should be plenty of kids excited to see the fish through the window.

It is a very nice system for a workshop.

I have just started cutting on my IBC totes and still like the idea of cutting them vertical for the grow beds like what you have done here.

thanks Rob,

every system i build i do so to meet a minimum standard that i would be happy with it in my own backyard.

cutting vertically has given us a greater volume for filtration.

Awesome! I feel better now seeing you do the dual SLO set up. I winged it and didnt see if anyone was attempting it before I set mine up, and I havent even sent it through its paces yet. Its a very neat set up as well. Yet Im now wondering if I need to black out my tote FT.

i run dual on my system as well as this new one. i like to have multiple pick up points and i suppose i should have had them join into a common 50mm+ pipe and then feed the growbeds off that but i have found this method to work quite well for me at home.

i only added the builders plastic until it is clad and decorated by other groups that frequent Shoestring Gardening. it will also have a bamboo shade structure built using traditional Burmese methods by some of the members... i can't wait to see how it turns out

Good looking system IMD,

initially I was afraid you'd not have enough support for the GB's but the timber beam looks good.
