The PA thing got squished by my boss. Wouldn't let me transfer and they gave the position away.

Well, at least there are some pluses - 1) not moving to the cold weather, 2) you can keep your AP going!

GB1 has been cycling over 24 hours and the green dingy water in the FT is clearing up. Hope to get GB2 filled and flowing tomorrow.

I moved my rock washing table to right next to my rock pile to make things faster.

It takes about 10 seconds after the trickle starts to get the full force flush. I'm happy with that.

Oh I can't get my stand pipe out to trim a half an inch to an inch so I'm only going to have about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4 inches of dry media may have to add just a few more rocks to get it closer to 2" but I hate to mess with greatness. Lol.

I have only about 2-3cm of dry media in some of my GBs and they the plants don't seem to mind.

Well it was a family effort today. Filled GB2 in half the time. Oh also moved the shaker table right next to the rock pile so I can shovel straight to the table. Oh and I added some cycling fish to the system. Good ole cheap bait fish. Aka Shiners. Image

Looking good Binksey. :thumbright: really like the white media.
I see you still have those copper and zinc (brass) valves on your pipe work, not so good.

On my to do list to remove the brass valves. Keep forgetting to grab the PVC ones at the hardware store.

Believe it or not my media is rainbow. It's local pea gravel, dug from the Escambia River in South Alabama/Florida. Got a good deal. Paid 98$ for 7 ton and paid $100 for the local contractor to get it with his dump truck. It has some clay in it before washing but overall fairly clean to start with.
