Yes autosiphons should go in the AP dictionary Les is doing.

Jaymie is too busy farming rocks for subduing crocs.

And I thought I was badass hunting eels with a tomahawk ;)

(tomahawk - AP tomato vendor)

I've just planted some Lupins.....have read through the big PDF file and a few other publications.

Has anyone grown their own Lupins for fish food yet?

I haven't grown my own, but I was given a big bucket full by a farmer.. I'm yet to give them a serious try, I sprouted a small container full and fed it to the SP, they ate most of it, didn;t particularly like...

Hmm...I was thinking more of grinding the seed up and making it into pellets, most likely mixed with a few other things.

Sprouts might be the best bet. I was reading in Resh's _Hydroponci Food Production_ about some experiments with sprouting grass seeds hydroponically -- they would grow the seeds on NFT trays until the mess was about 3 to 4" thick and then feed the whole pad to cows. Rather like a bovine granola bar, I guess. Supposedly the nutrients are much higher sprouted than not -- they animals loved them and gave more milk with much higher cream content.

Yep, green fooder... You can now buy fodder farms that are basically a shed filled with trays, it spits out a number of them every day... Very effective feed source, there was a mailing group that started through the Speraeos group, it might be worth checking out for further info...

My Ol Pop used to get a bucket of lupins after they had been through a hammer mill and feed them to his kunacks (aka yabbies), he was a farmer so its probably a lot more convienient for him than anythign else

Was absolutely complete, fans, temp control, nutrient tester/diffuser etc

Wouldn't be that hard to make something yourself to do the same job.
