This one shows evidence of iron lockout. They said it might happen with high ph. I plan to do a water change and add iron today if I can find it.

Planted some tomatoes and stevia this morning. And I took the opportunity to shoot an update video.

Mr Stripey and the Beefsteak tomatoes are indeterminate, so they will keep growing. Might want to plan on some sort of trellis, as you pointed out up that support post, so they can grow and grow.
And they are heavy feeders which, coming into the warmer seasons now, will really take up the nutrients. Be sure to feed the fish well but keep checking the water parameters so things are kept in balance.
Nice work on the AP system.

So over the last couple of weeks I was able to obtain some maxicrop, chelated IRON, refractometer, and aquaponic fish feed. Over the same period my nitrites had spiked to over 5 ppm. Thats part of the reason I did a partial water change a week ago.

Today nitrites are back to zero. Ammonia .25 Nitrites lees than 5 ph 8.2 Which I believe indicates that it has completed cycling. I am so happy.

Well, I ain't asking but some of us are sorry to see you go. Keep on with the Aquaponics and infect a few more around you with this great way to raise fish and grow veggies. Luck to your future.

Bummer. He is one of the reasons I joined this fourm. He lives in the same town as I do, and I was hoping to have someone close to bounce ideas on.

Sorry to hear that, I'm still not sure what went wrong and it would have been good to see him stay but sometimes the wrong button gets pushed (intentionally or not) :dontknow:

You may find him on another forum, never know.

Cheers
