My system is in the same type of weather area as you and I am having trouble with lettuce too... I think it is the heat for me mostly, I have pulled my shadecloth cover over the greenhouse.. a lot of of my plants have that light green colour although some of yours in those pics look a little yellowy. Could it be iron deficiency perhaps as well?

Yellow leaves with green veins is usually a sign of deficiency.
If it happens on the new leaves, then Iron is usually the problem.
If it happens on older leaves there are a few different things that it could be a sign of. In my system it is usually a sign of low potassium but it usually also comes with some bronzing or brown spots.

Thanks guys, i add chelated iron from time to time but maybe i need to add more?? I haven't been using a rule of any kind for how much or how often.
Eco fungicide usually add potassium, i was using that in that system on the cucumber although it has since been removed. I added some banana skins a couple months back but might add some more, can't hurt i guess.
I might add some shade cloth over that section this weekend and see if that helps although this rainy weather will be sure to cool things down this week.

In the other system i found some crap in the yabby houses yesterday, some lumps of crap that smelled absolutely digesting, like the crap floss gets from between your teeth lol and made my hand stink for several hours after touching it. Just when i was saying i had a clean bottom lol. The yabbies must have pushed in into the pipes or it just gathered and settled in them. After stirring it up and getting it out the jades not hungry?

Been working on digging out this old raised bed as it has been a bit useless due to crap soil, so decided to turn it into a wicking bed for all our tubers such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips etc etc, can't wait to get it up and going.
