Earthbound- I LOVE those pots! They look great, I may do that for the back ones because I doubt the burlap will hold up for long. What did you bind them together with?

Janet- Thanks for the info on wasabi. I am going to order some starts I think and see how it goes. I have actually put in some things I know probably won't do well because of the light situation, cantaloupe (Minnesota Midget), tomato (Siberian), Watermelon (Sugar Baby), Peas (Little Marvel), Strawberries (Quinault), Lettuce (Buttercrunch and Mesclun Mix), Spaghetti Squash (HA!)...but I figure it best to get my wild hairs out of the way so I can pull them out and replant more suitable things before the days turn short again. I figure the peas and salad mixes are the only things that stand a real shot, but it's worth a try. I also had a 40 lb bag of this stuff laying around http://www.carib-sea.com/pages/products/fresh/freshplanted.html , so I threw a handful in each bucket and will put a layer in the middle of the growbed. Figured it couldn't hurt.

Nice, I once bred Frontosas in a 300 gallon Tank. Didn't know enough to appreciate them then.

Nice Anna...... :) I think for memory I just used cable ties, also called zip ties I think? Wrapped the brush wood around, overlap by 1cm or so, poke a cable tie through the brushwood, round and back out again...

Thanks for the compliments! The sealant is refusing to set, I think because it has been SOO humid. It has rained at least a few minutes every day for 2 weeks straight and the RH is at 85 - 90%. With daytime temps in the low 70s and night temps in high 60s I can't bring myself to close the windows to dry things out. I had this same problem once while sealing my fountain, it took about 5 days. I wish it would hurry, the strawberries are on my counter ready to go in.

I set a box fan on it tonight, maybe that will do the trick.
