I attended an on-line college a bit back and each class was split into teams to work together on the assignments. Clear goals were set, objectives, due dates, etc. A great way to learn and share the experience, alas the coin ran out as well as it being just too difficult for me to continue with work and all.....
Now what I am suggesting is we do something similar.
The weath of information we all share and the diverse backgrounds, would it not be great to team up on various tasks and report the findings back to the form.
The results could be used for a BYA news letter or something of that nature.
This could also end up, making the information easier to locate, take a little work off of doing things individualy, or goodness a possible significant world break through.
So as an example we could say hey we need research on the following topics.

1. Fin fish breeding.
2. Planting by the moon phases.
3. Which fires burn the hottest (for you Steve).

Now with the topics identified folks could make up their minds which they wished to work on and break up into teams and ta da.
Give the teams a deadline for the work submission, etc, etc.

What say you?

Great idea but you are trying to heard (sp?) cats! You are going against nature.

Aquaponicians are a strongly independant bunch.

I think that the best that you can expect is something like the whillie bin contest. I am building mine next week, by the way...

Or a BAP II book! Hmmm.....

It would be like herding cats, though. Realize that no one else has even run dual strip vs drop tests yet. :D

Did them and no significant difference to me, I find it very difficult to tell the color variations so my tests were, how you say, inconclusive?
I also am tending to not test my system much a ph reading or nitrate now and then in an attempt to see what I'm holding.
Since I have just added all the guppies to the main system I'll test in a day or two and see if things have changed.
Now back on topic?
Herding cats may be easier but as I see it, it would be all strickly a collaberation(sp) of folks on a certain topic. They agree to do it together and set their own goals etc then when completed the final work is submited to the forum.
EB can at that time use it if wished for inclusion into the BYA news letter, quarterly or what have you. Or it can simply become a file for folks to have available.
Certainly, as a team effort the path is mutualy choosen vice herded.
Anyone else for input?

Not really, some input results in tangents and a losing of the path.
But lets not debate it, results posted.
