Hello Everyone,

Here is my introduction of myself and what I am trying to accomplish.

http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=19319

I am in the process of my first aquaponic system and it is going well. My boss in the Department of Agriculture in my municipality wants me to implement at out Demo Farm. Once he said that I knew I had my work cut out for me.

I visited the Demo Farm today and forgot to take pictures of the site, but its huge....

What I have to go with is that the pond is 50-100 tons of water~ 7,142-14,285 gallons. :shock:Which is substantially larger that my refrigerators.

Am I crazy?

Tomorrow I will post pictures of site and ideas.

um... I think you've got a lot of reading and research ahead of you before you undertake this new project

That tank almost sounds too big to work with, but post some photos so we can follow your progress

Ya after posting this I realized that it isnt possible one bit.... The hardest part about implementing here in the Philippines is the language barrier to be able to explain how aquaponics works.

I think the best approach is a linear, scalable system. ie can be started small on a budget and grown/extended as time and funds permit

for example, using IBC tanks extending in a line

or long channels and growbeds

..expanding one bit at a time. You could even construct the greenhouse component in a similar fashion, if you have the space, by moving the end wall out as you add more hoops to the greenhouse
