There's no lead in PE. You may be mistaking it for PVC

I was using the verb for "lead". As in: "What caused you to use LDPE instead of HDPE". I was assuming that it could have to do with water permeability and breath ability.

I just checked out your facebook wage Web4Deb. You have a gorgeous domed greenhouse. I'm jealous!

Ah. stupid words with two meanings! ;-) The LDPE is more flexible as a foam material.

I've been experimenting seeding in a mini wicking bed that's made with shale sand. It's been working really well so far. The stones stays very lose so it's easy to remove the plants without damaging the roots.

I can germinate non pelleted seed directly in these, but haven't quite mastered doing bulk seeding for commercial operations. It's getting close!

I personally haven't tried NFT, but I do have a colleague that's experimenting with it right now.

We made it to our $10,000 stretch goal so everyone that has pledged now gets 30% more GrowGrips!!! Thanks to everyone who has supported our project. There's only 1 day left to the campaign so it's not too late to made a pledge! Will we make it to our $15K goal? :D http://kck.st/1dzqo6O

Congrats on the stretch goal! I wasn't sure if you'd get enough support on kickstarter for an aquaponics based product, but looks like you did well!

If you figure out a way to post internationally cheaper, let me know and I'll try a few out :)

Looks good, and congrats on your Kickstarter success.

I just had a thought regarding the cost of international postage, if it's the volume of the box that is bumping up the price, could you vacuum seal the grips and pack them like that? Would they handle being compressed and uncompressed?

Wishing you all the best for the future. :)

Yeah, I feel bad that the international shipping was so expensive. We had to come up with one generic price that could cover the entire world. Once we start shipping the real product we should be able to get better pricing for everyone. Also, if someone wants to become a main distributor, shipping everything in bulk will make a big difference! ;-)

Because these are closed cell, they can't be vacuumed pack because you can't squeeze the air out of them.
