Here you go: http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http:/ ... Manual.pdf

archive.org ftw

Someone may want to upload that elsewhere before the author figures that out and blocks the file with robots.txt.

I have not had tilapia very long, but the best way I have found to breed them is to put them in a tank that you DON'T want them to breed in and sit back. The ones you isolate for breeding never seem to breed (at least for me).

This is counter intuitive but there could be reasons. is you breeding tank kept at the same temperature? same light cycles?

When i bring breeders indoors into my house aquariums to breed, I setup the tank lights to cycle 12hours on 12 hours off... i wait for them to get settled and more comfortable. I like it when they come to the front/top expecting food when i walk by as opposed to hiding...

then i drop in aquarium heaters to raise the water temp from 70-75 up to ~80.. i also extend the timer to 16hour on/8hour off to similate long summer days.. in a couple of weeks i see nests and breeding behavior.

I have done this with tilapia and bluegill.. mother nature tells fish when it's time to breed and sometimes you have to mimic her.
