Chilli, peppers, capcicum all grow well in AP. Acually, pretty much anything grows well in AP.

Im not sure AP is right for the very hot peppers. It is my experience that too much water when the fruit is ripening will cause the peppers to be mild.

ive been growing peppers for years in AP

I've found that they are actually hotter than the advertised scoville rating....

I've had people tell me all the time they couldn't believe how hot they were compared
to dirt grown peppers

but it could be the type makes a difference also

Agreed. I've had the same experience. I tried throwing a small Jalapeno in my mouth while doing maintenance on my AP and it kicked my :bootyshake: . I would recommend giving it a try.

I have ghost pepper plants and seeds. Bhut Jolokia are very hot. You need gloves and respirator when prepping. If you just use the meat, and not the seeds and membrane, they are very tasty in dishes. Still only need small amounts. I will add some to my AP, but the ones I've grown are in dirt. All other peppers have done very well in AP. My only problem was they bloomed too early and the plants didn't get large enough to support the plants. My next crop will get blooms pinched when small, and wait until the plant gets larger. Not sure if that will work or not.

Same here, peppers have grown really well and never had any problems with them and they seem very hot to me but I am no expert on chillies.

Tirobb, make sure to keep the ghost seeds warm...if memory serves me 84-85. I had 99% germination using the heat mat.
