I was asked to speak at a STEM conference. I want to show them how easy an aquaponics system can be to setup. Doe anyone have any suggestions for creating a very portable system?

Do as power point presentation instead.... Far easier and ultimately more impressive than some tiny throw together system..

Yeah water and gravel are heavy. I'm presenting AP to a garden club in two weeks and it's just too heavy and messy to try to bring an actual system to show. Will plan to bring some hardware, just not wet and running.

That is a very cool system. I will definitely have a PPT and I have a video that shows different projects our school does. I have started building a system out of two 5 gallon water jugs. I cut a flap in the bottom one to put a pump. I cut the bottom off the other one, and I connected them with a collar. I've got to get some more hose and some expanded clay. I think it will work, and it looks like it will be pretty easy to transport. I will post photos when I get it done.

This is what I came up with. I'll fill the top with Hydroton, and I'll put goldfish in the bottom container. I'm using water from my established aquaponics system.
