Hi everyone. Just wanted to say hi and announce my intentions to start my first aquaponics setup first thing tomorrow morning. I've read quite a bit and watched many videos, and I'm totally overwhelmed by all the setups, methods, tricks, etc.

But I'm not one to learn by books, so I'm just planning to jump right in and set up a small flood/drain system with some goldfish and see what happens. It will be more fun for me to tweak it as I go than to try to design it perfectly the first time. My setup will be inside, and I'll probably need grow lights. But for now I'm focused on just getting the hardware and plumbing setup and tested.

I'll be back with many more questions I'm sure.
