Well it's about time I got started. I am building my entire AP system from things I have laying around on the farm. From above ground swimming pools to wood from an 80 year old shop. To leftover lumber from our new shop build to the decking off an old car trailer to.... Well you get the point. I plan on having a sump tank roughly 730 gallons that could easily be converted into a FT if needed. My GBs will sit on top of the sump tank. And the FT will be 1,000gallons. Only had time to get the sump tank started today.

I hope to have water cycling within a week!

I've been too busy at work to play with my system. Rescued this from an old dock. Plan on using the square tubing to make stands for my GBs

Here's what they will look like. I think I'll just drill a series of small holes in the bottom for the flood/drain system.

Hope to have the GBs and sump tank done soon! Want to get my system cycled by March-April!

I got the sump tank in.

The posts made it a little more difficult. Since the fish tank is a bit bigger I'll have to build it in there.

Not much to look at so far. Any suggestions on where to get my fish food?

It was 35°f today. In the greenhouse it was 50° hope it starts warming up a bit. Or at least being more sunny

McKenzie Feed and Pet Supply is a good place and they'll sell it to you in gallon ziplock bags if you don't want to buy a 50 lb bag which might go bad before you can use it. They just moved next to where Grey's used to be in Springfield. Most any feed supply store will sell you the big bags if that's what you want, it's cheaper this way as long as you can use it.

Don't get your hopes up :headbang: - Current water temp 43 F. Half in and half outside growbeds so your's will be a bit warmer. Sometimes helps to start seedlings with a heat mat using seedling mix in the Spring otherwise it takes forever because of our cool temps.
