How or what do ya'll use to mount those 12v timers ? and how weather proof do they need to be?
(I haven't got to wiring yet)

I mounted my main pump on the side of the black base for the swirl tank so you have to really look at the picture to see it, I want to mount the timer somehow right in that area just not sure how and looking for ideas :dontknow: The 8D battery sits right below but don't think you can see it in the picture.

most of my main plumbing is done I just need one fill sitting for the duckweed GB and a hose for the last pvc GB to duckweed GB. I also plan to put a small 1/4" 12v pump to feed the duckweed bed on top the FT later but for now trying to get one going.

also this isn't really related but someone mite find it usefully , on the bottom 2" drain in my FT I used a 3.75" net basket and just caulked it to the side of the tank to make a fish screen

Photo of the timer would help. Mine are 240v timers and are mounted in a metal tool box lined with foam floor matting. This box also contains my emergency switch and battery charger.

Make sure it is in a weather proof container they will not take being exposed to water. I mounted mine on a synthetic cutting board. Will take a photo and post it.

Photo shot against the lid of the box. Resides inside the box which as I said is lined to insulate with the floor matting.

Yes just screwed and ensured they were insulated, this way you could screw the board to the inside of a box or leave it just sitting like I do.

Power meter, all power for the aquaponics run from a 15 amp switch through the meter and to a power board in the box. This allows me to know how much power I am using on the system.

When i finish modifications to my RFS this will all so run from the power board in the box.

oh ok , I was afraid I need another switch to make it work

I am tiring solar charged battery if I need to connect battery charger every now and then I can but to super worried about power usage on that 12v system. I may also add a solar aerator later if needed
