Hi ALL

I have built my first system with an IBC before last Christmas 17-12-2013. The system is up and running till now, the plant is growing and 10 gold fishes still alive.

I got two IBC from my friend and 220L blue water drum split into two half, now thinking to expand the existing system. Would you able to give me advise which design is better?

By the way, water tested with PH 7.4, High Range PH 8, A:0,N:0 N:0. But tomato seedling already got flowers and got one green tomato. Other plants also growing ok except come asian veg dry out due to the heat. Is that normal from the water test?

Well it's kind of apples to oranges. In system 1 you have three fish tanks where you only have one in system 2. If you've already got the IBC's to run system 1 then I would add another fish tank to system 2 or split off a second system like the original one you had and use this for small fish or quarenteen.

Just to be clear, I would choose system 2 for the main system and have a second system like the original.

Either system you posted will work fine, I'm not a fan of putting the pump in with the fish or joining the fish tanks so you only need one pump but these aren't major issues.
